Great books that I’ve read lately:
First they killed my father
In The Realm Of Hungry Ghosts
In the Kingdom of Men

I had some TV time, which is weird because I don’t have a TV, but through the awesome local library I was able to borrow the first season of Dark Angel. Why Dark Angel? Because I have a thing for Agent DiNozzo from NCIS and that was the first (admitted less kick-ass) role I knew him in.

Good Food:
Stir fry with shrimp
Pumpkin hot cocoa
Peanut butter Brownies (raw food, no flour, eggs or sugar)
Chicken Curry

Running in the fall:I love this time of year to run, it’s so beautiful, birds are flying south and there is so much to see as the leaves turn bright colours and fall from the trees. However, it is starting to get cold – need to know what to wear? Check this out.

I’ve not been writing much as I have been reading … a lot.

My kobo allows me to go to the library, without actually going to the library. This is great for many obvious reasons, including having to walk in the rain, but there is a downfall. The average library book borrowing time is three weeks and you can renew if you run out of time. The kobo borrowing time is two weeks. Don’t get it finished in time, it’s gone and you are back on the waiting list.

So I put myself on the list for two books, and borrowed a couple of others.

I finished those and borrowed two more.

Then my other two came available.

I’ve got two weeks to finish four books.

The good news is it’s a good start on my goal of reading 100 books in 1001 days, the bad news, is I haven’t written much lately, but I have been getting myself into trouble, so I’ll be back with more soon.

It’s crazy how excited I am about my new kobo. It was a gift for my birthday and today, I figured out how to access the library with it.

I might not have mentioned this before, but I am a huge fan of the library, and have been for years, access to free books, movies, music, yay! Then, there was this incident where bed bugs were found in one of the local libraries – not my branch, but it was enough to slow down my reading.

I’ve been slowly getting back into it, but so exciting that now I can go to the library without going to the library.

I’d write more, but I have to go read.
